解釈・解説
you は「亡くなった親友」と捉えて歌詞を解釈していきます。
（we're victim of the love とありますが、ここでの愛は恋愛の方ではないと思っています。）
1サビについて「so far gone」が2回出てきますが、
1回目に関して、
君が遠くへ言ってしまったことは事実で、
それが受け止めきれていない状況です。
2回目では、それを乗り越えています
（現実を受け止めて強くなっている＝I'll be strong tonight）
その次のAメロからはその苦しみを乗り越えた「僕」になっています。
だから、2サビはどちらも「you're never so far gone」から始まっています。
